The visit takes 1 hour split into three diferent parts:- History and architecture - Vinification and ageing process - Tasting of one red and one white wine.

In 30 minutes, discover one Château Olivier white, Grand Cru Classé, composed of Sauvignon and Semillon and one Château Olivier red, Grand Cru Classé, combining Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

The offer includes : - A visit to the vat room and ageing cellars - A tasting of Château Olivier white 2012 and Château Olivier white 2017 - A tasting of 4 PDO cheeses (Fourme d'Ambert, goat, Comté, Ossau Iraty). The cheeses may change according to the availability of the cheese factory (Thierry Lafitte - Cheesemaker in Léognan)Let's shake up the preconceived idea that only red wines go with cheese...With the help of our explanations on the techniques of wine making and maturing, you will visit the vat room dating from the 18th century and the ageing cellars. Afterwards, you will leave room for your imagination and create amazing pairings between two Château Olivier whites (2012 & 2017) and 4 PDO cheeses selected by ourselves from a local cheese shop.

The Seigneurie d'Olivier, dating from the 12th century, has been the property of many historical personalities, including the "Black Prince" in the 14th century and Marie de Lasserre, Montesquieu's grandmother, in the 17th century. Today, the estate has belonged to the Bethmann family since 1886.We will take you for a walk around the Château Olivier and help you discover its history and architecture. You will visit the vat room where we will explain the wine making and maturing techniques. You will then head to the ageing cellars, where you will have the great privilege of tasting the white and red wines of the 2022 vintage being aged directly in the barrel.To finish your experience, you will taste a Château Olivier White and a Château Olivier Red; in all elegance.
